Typical Credit Card perks and incentives E-mail
Written by CreditCardsClub

With a highly competitive credit card industry, many credit card companies have started to put incentives to owning their credit card products to win consumer patronage.  The major credit card companies have already much going in their favor with the stability of their financial clout already in place.  New entrants in the industry as well as new products from the major players often fight it out with promises of lower interest rates, better processing security and other perks.  These are some of the common incentives that they offer:

Cash Back Rewards are Cash Rebates on the purchases made on the card during the current billing period it is typically 1% of the total purchases made in that period.
Discounts or rebates at select gas stations, drugstores or special boutique bars and restaurants
Movie passes Sports season passes
Frequent flyer mileage credits or phone-call minutes
Additional warranty coverage for the items purchased
Discounts at select merchants
Earned points towards special or promotional merchandise items
Tour package discounts
Travel accident insurance and/or travel-related discounts like hotel accommodation and car rental discounts
Free use of exclusive sports club or airport lounges in select cities worldwide
Credit card companies also offer the following for a special price exclusive to members:

Unemployment Insurance to cover payments on your credit card balance should the cardholder become unemployed;
Life and accident insurance in case the cardholder gets disabled or dies. Premiums are often specially discounted and go with the monthly bills as these are called term insurance policies that can be easily canceled at any time.
Insurance coverage for the first $50 of charges if the credit card is lost or stolen. Under federal law, the cardholder is not responsible for charges over $50.
Special rates for pre-need plans like college education plans
There really is no end to the benefits that can come with the use of credit cards. Some cards also offer rebates and discounts for loyal customers with a good payment record over the years.  But these are normally given to surprise and delight the cardholding customer. Knowing which credit card to get based on what they offer can be a prudent thing to consider if they address your needs.
